I spent the majority of spring break working on lines and colors like a machine! I noticed that process has accelerated significantly the more I have continued to undergo it, and find new ways to make it more efficient. I think if I had known what I know now when I just started out, I would be a lot farther along than all the main walk cycles and a handful of random shots. But I have to accept that this is still worthwhile progress, no matter how much I wish I could do more, faster.
Seeing the film get one step closer to looking finished is somehow both exciting and frustrating at the same time. Exciting because obviously I want to finish it, and see the vision for my first ever animated film realized in full! However (if I am to finally be honest) that's where the frustration admittedly comes in, because time and time again, I look upon this film and fail to see what I hoped it would be. Of course maybe that's a little premature to say because it still isn't finished yet. But I guess I had grander aspirations for what this film could look like that, realistically, I probably won't be able to make happen in just the month I have left until FUSE.
With regards to the film, one could say I grapple a lot with the principle of "good enough"...
